The Rectors’ Forum of Southeast Forum and Western Balkans has established three working groups. The working groups help in the implementation of decisions taken by the Rectors’ Forum Assembly and the Secretariat, and initiate and prepare complex materials for the Rectors’ Forum Assembly in cooperation with the Secretariat.
The Rectors’ Forum has three permanent working grops:
- Working Group on EDUCATION AND SCIENCE POLICIES ADVANCEMENTS in SEE
- Working Group on ADVANCEMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAMMES in SEE
- Working Group on RESEARCH AND INNOVATION ADVANCEMENTS in SEE
The working groups are composed of experts from the members’ universities. Each university may not have more than one member in a working group. The number of members in each working group may vary depending on the topics considered by the working group. Each working group has its chair and is situated at the university where its chair is based.
The first group, dedicated to the development of education and science policies in Southeast Europe, is chaired by Dr Gazela Pudar Draško, Director of the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory at the University of Belgrade.
The second group, chaired by Prof. Marta Žuvić, Vice-Rector for Studies, Students and Quality Assurance at the University of Rijeka, focuses on the progress and development of higher education programmes in Southeast Europe.
The third group concentrates on progress in research and innovation, and is led by Prof. Maja Klun, Vice-Rector for Knowledge Transfer, Digitalisation and Sustainable Development and Prof. Boštjan Markoli, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Quality at the University of Ljubljana.
The working groups have already drawn up two-year work plans, focusing on areas such as improving regional cooperation, supporting member universities in winning EU projects, promoting brain circulation, and boosting innovation in the member countries.
