The 6th Rector’s Forum of Southeast Europe and Western Balkans was held at the University of Belgrade
From the 12th to 13th of September 2022, the University of Belgrade hosted the 6th Rectors Forum of Southeast Europe and Western Balkans, attended by 46 representatives from 26 regional universities.
Rectors, Vice-Rectors and other universities’ representatives discussed how to organise the network of regional universities in order to speak with one voice in Europe and how to enhance regional cooperation in the fields of research, education, university management, etc.
During the meeting participants discussed how to integrate the two regional networks of universities, elaborate an action plan for the network activities (student and staff exchange, joint research activities: seminars, workshops, projects, postdoc programmes, joint degrees, a database of experts and research equipment, etc.) and to set up working groups that will deal with specific issues, such as policy, research, education, institution development, students’ activities, etc.
Participants have also elected a new President of the Rectors’ Forum. Prof. Dr. Vladan Djokić, Rector of the University of Belgrade, will chair the Rectors’ Forum for one-year period.
