The University of Ljubljana has published its Second Internal Call for the co-financing of seminars for first- and second-cycle students within the Recovery and Resilience Fund measure “Internationalisation at Home and Abroad”.
The call aims to strengthen cooperation between the University of Ljubljana, members of the University of Ljubljana Global Network and universities participating in the Rectors’ Forum of South-East Europe and the Western Balkans.
Who can participate?
Applications must be submitted by a faculty or academy of the University of Ljubljana. Academic staff and researchers from Rectors’ Forum member universities may participate as international partners in the development and delivery of the proposed seminars.
Each seminar must be organised in cooperation with:
- at least two representatives of Rectors’ Forum member universities or,
- at least two Slovenian higher education teachers or researchers working abroad or members of the University of Ljubljana Global Network or,
- at least one representative from each of these two networks.
What kind of seminars can be supported?
The call supports live seminars lasting at least two days. They should involve first- and/or second-cycle students from the University of Ljubljana and partner universities and include active forms of learning, such as:
- joint student assignments and activities;
- project, professional or development work;
- fieldwork or practical exercises.
The seminars must be awarded ECTS credits and participation must be free of charge for students and lecturers. Activities may take place in Slovenia or abroad and must be completed by 30 September 2028.
Available financial support
Eligible costs may include travel and accommodation expenses for participating lecturers, researchers and students from Rectors’ Forum member universities, provided that the costs are directly related to the seminar and appropriately justified.
Equipment purchases are not eligible, and the same costs may not be financed from other public sources.
How to express interest
Rectors’ Forum members are invited to inform relevant academic staff at their institutions and encourage them to contact colleagues at the University of Ljubljana to jointly develop a seminar proposal.
The formal application must be submitted by a University of Ljubljana faculty or academy by 16 November 2026. The complete call and application documentation are available in the attached document.
